Yes, here is a very especially tiny risk that you could lose an eye. If you have them both done at matching time, you could, I suppose lose both.
The procedure takes something like 20 minutes per eye, normally. The actual "laser" time is smaller quantity than half that. The rest is primarily connecting you to the equipment and calibrating.
As I get the drift it, 97% of the people who enjoy LASEK surgery (note the E) with wavefront technology are thrilled near it.
The other 3% are not. Presumably some (very small) portition of that 3% isn't thrilled with blindness.
As a minor, you cannot consent to this operation. Your parents would enjoy to OK it. Generally doctors shy away from performing this operation on the very childlike because their vision is varying so quickly. That is, they might enjoy to perform the surgery again when you are within your mid 20s.
Also note that as you go and get much older, you may find that you hold to wear reading glasses anyways, since your lense may be formed impeccably but your optical muscles simply cannot deform it to focus at one or the other extreme.
If you be my kid, I'd say to lurk 'till your early 20s and do one eye at a time.
yes, here is always a risk.. i assume you have to be over 21 yrs and the surgury is simply a couple of hours if not smaller number

The surgery is 10 minutes max. As with adjectives surgeries there is other a risk although lasik surgery as it gets more popular seem to be safe. They do not know the long occupancy effects of this type of surgery b/c it is fairly topical. You can get it at any age.
I hold a friend who had lasik surgery and the doctor did not do a angelic job. She have scars on her eyes and her phantasm is worse than before and there's nil they can do about it.
If you're going to do it, gross sure you get a doctor who have done it many, tons times and is the best in your nouns. Even then, there's other a risk.

You are too young at heart to have lasik surgery. I'm pretty sure you hold to be at least 18, or 17.
It also depends on the type and severity of your eyesight problems. You hold to meet positive requirements for that too.

However, the whole process from the time you receive to the surgery location until the time you leave is something like 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
There is a risk in any surgery obviously but the most common complications are minor. You must be at least possible 18 with a stable prescription for at most minuscule 1 year. I would wait until you are at most minuscule 21 before have LASIK though. Ignore the knuckleheads that say to jump to the cheapest place in town. You should find a moral Ophthalmologist in town and bring in sure you are comfortable with them since you have any surgery. The surgery last about 15 minutes total but expect to be at the MD bureau for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. LASIK is around 10 years old but they own been doing similar procedures for over 20. I consistency that it is one of the most successful surgeries in tablets but again, it is a surgery and complications can occur. You don't repeatedly hear of the success stories but hear adjectives about the patients that aren't so ecstatic.
I have never hear of that but you have to be at tiniest 18 and have stable mirage for at least 2 years. They do enjoy lasers now that will truly follow your eye if you look away for whatever origin
