Does Lasik sugery hurt or how does it feel. I own very dry eyes will it product it worse. I medically need it.?

My husband have to have Lasik 3 times. His eyesight be so bad it be not correctable to 20/20 with contacts or eyeglasses.
He said that Lasik does not hurt. It is uncomfortable because they clamp your eye undo and there is a smell but not much as far as discomfort.
After the Lasiks, my husbands eyer are much drier. He now have to use eye drops (it's been 3 years since the procedure). However, Lasik is worth the risk. My husband say he would do it again in a heartbeat.
I have Lasik not too long ago. It does not hurt. They do clamp your eye open and you can surface a sucking sensation when the machine comes down over your eye, but your eye is numbed and doesn't discern pain.
It did not hurt at adjectives afterward. I also have dry eyes, but for me the Lasik hasn't made it any worse. You can other use eye drops.
I would do it again, no question.
i of late had lasik 5 days ago. no strain what so ever. it was a total of 15 minutes for both eyes. i am have some dry eye sympthoms but i guess this is to be expected for the first few weeks.
any idea what are some angelic drops?

My husband have LASIK...and I had PRK. He have dry eyes prior to his surgery and now, roughly 10 weeks out, he doesn't need his artificial tears much anymore. It did fashion it a little worse initially, but as time go on, he went put a bet on to his baseline dryness.
I have dry eyes more due to allergies, but my PRK did cause that worse for about a month...I'm in a minute 7 weeks out and back to my baseline (til ragweed season!) I still use my artificial tears a couple of times a hours of daylight, and have also started using some preservative free salve my surgeon recommended at my 6 week followup since my allergies are starting up again. Follow your surgeon's instructions on drops and ointments...you won't be capable of use the ointment for a while...I be just given the ok at my 6 week appointment finishing week.
Both he and I agree...there be no pain whatsoever. He said he did touch a little bit of pressure when the suction for the flap be going on, but that's all it be...a little pressure.
His surgery took a total of 10 minutes...and mine took around 8.
You will feel some burning the first 2-4 hours...this is why your surgeon tell you to go home and achieve some sleep.
You will notice that you are VERY sensitive to sunlight for the first few days...and you will enjoy to wear sunglasses, even in the house, the daylight of your surgery to help protect your eyes. You're lucky...I have to wear sunglasses any time I was outside for a month..and truly just in a minute am able to stride out to flip the burgers on the grill without my sunglasses...but I have light sensitivity since...almost back to average.
While you are healing, your dry eye thought will be kinda like a "sticky gritty" sensation...resembling dirty contacts...just use your artificial tears as commonly as you need to...this really help.
I wish you the best of luck! You'll be amazed at the difference. Just follow your surgeon's postop instructions, rob your medicated drops like you're supposed to, do not consent to water return with into your eyes for a week...and NO EYE RUBBING! :)
