Yes it does affect you eyes, it will eventually cause you to get hold of glasses. Unless you hold a job on a computer, try to stay sour of it for a while
Being on the computer a lot strains your eyes, and beneath certain conditions - lighting, for example - the strain will swing. If the screen is too bright, the lighting too dim, and you're sitting to close, that's a gigantic strain on your eyes. Try looking at these links for more help:

If you are typical sighted, and see at distance normally, you own to 'work' to see close, at a computer screen. And doing that hour after hour would be no different than reading, except reading would require more work (closer). But if you be near sighted and already focused at a close distance, would the computer next make a difference?
no work.
Looking at a computer eyeshade doesn't HURT your eyes. You might get tired focusing in the neighbourhood which would be the reason empire feel better after taking a rest from it. So do you rest by looking far away? or by closing your eyes? Or by using specs that are made to focus the distance of the computer screen (about a 2.25 would work) ?
When you break open your eye, it works as HARD as it can to see. Because you're looking at a computer screen, contained by a microscope, at a TV, at a sunset, at a flower....same work. The retina just works along. The focusing entity might make you tired, but that's roughly it. It's not an injury thing.
The practical thing you can play next to...the near goggles thing, if you're farsighted.
Other than that...doesn't bring in much difference what you're looking at....
if u sit very close to the blind yes it will affect ur sight
