Am i a nominee for lasik surgery
my left eye's prescription is 11.5 and my right is 12 and has astigmatism and is slightly stagnant... i will be seventeen in a couple weeks, and my mom is willing to sign any papers needed, will they do it for me at this age?
Answers: No. LASIK is not done for prescriptions over nearly -9.00. There are other surgical options for higher powers.
Mostly you should linger until you are 21+ as your prescription must be unchanged for at least 2 years since having surgery. There are a number of individual factor that determine whether you are a candidate for any surgical procedure and only a refractive surgeon who have personally examined your eyes can tell you if you are a competitor.
Ask your eye doctor to refer you to a surgeon who does some of the more advanced procedures for an opinion.
i think you are, but not completely sure.
but, it is better to lurk until you are older, and you won't have your prescription amend as often. when you are older the prescription won't translation anymore. i don't think it's worth it as much, when you'll need updates.
