Am I ever going to qualify for laser eye surgery?

I was told that I was inwardly the range of the acceptable laser-eye surgery, but that they have to wait until my vision stabilizes (stop getting worse) for 12 months beforehand they do that because if they go back and do too tons touch-ups lasering away at my cornea, then they could collapse *gulp*

I guess my question is: will my prescription ever stop progressing downward? That guy told me that 4 years ago. and I'm close to Mr. Magoo without my glasses. I don't want to be dependent on them anymore!

I too am similar to "mister magoo" without my glasses.

However, I hold had NUMEROUS friends/family get laser-eye surgery done, and I other worry---what if I got it done, and I was one of those that did NOT draw from great results?

There are a few other options currently.I just read an awesome article something like some of the other options for those of us with the "mister magoo" hallucination.but, I forgot which magazine it was in (it be a good article, good reliable sources.but, I read deeply of magazine articles, as they are short/easy for me to read with my vision).

What I have found, is not adjectives eye doctor's offices are the same.

I in reality got the BEST vision beside my eye glasses from a doc at walmart---over lenscrafters and another vision place.all the same, I very much perfer my contacts.I usually wear a THIN pair of specs OVER my contacts (my contact lens power is pretty high!!) to take keeping of the astigmatism only, and this works GREAT!!. I can wear SUNGLASSES during the day over my contacts, and I can wear the withered glasses for reading or when driving at night to oblige take care of halo's.

I currently am a moment or two too nervous to risk my eyes right now---with other problems that put me at increased risk of the surgery making me a "less than just what the doctor ordered canidate".

I am sorry that this is not the answer you were looking for most likely, but...only just some suggestions.

ps--your eyes SHOULD stop progressing downward, BUT, some family histories DO hold some problems where you will continue to hold eyes that continue to get worse every year..sombre to say.

My eyes are pretty much the same for the final 6 years.and I have HORRIBLE eyes.-13 I think on contact lenses..pretty blind. most contacts do not come that strong.
How antediluvian are you right now? Generally they will not recommend laser eye surgery for someone who is in their teens or childhood ages. They will usually recommend it when you're within your early twenties or thirties when your prescription levels past its sell-by date a bit. I am a candidate also for laser eye surgery, and I am waiting until a few issues stop before I look at getting them done, but I am too told that I couldn't it done directly either.
