Answers: If you hold a disease that is going to require corneal transplantation, then, no, laser surgery will not fix this problem.
EDIT: I stopped rear legs by and noticed the comment about PTK. I can really deliberate of no corneal disease that would lead to the need for a corneal transplant that could be effectively treated beside PTK. So I would again say that laser would not be an effective alternative for a disease of the cornea to be precise severe enough to require corneal transplantation.

Anyway, ask your doctor if you are a righteous candidate for Phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) which is an alternative to a corneal transplant. It combines the precision of the excimer laser with the control of a computer, so essentially they vaporize microscopically thin layers of diseased corneal tissue and etch away the surface irregularities. Surrounding areas suffer relatively little trauma and spanking new tissue can then grow over the now-smooth surface.
The recovery take a matter of days, rather than months as near a transplant. The return of vision can occur speedily, especially if the cause of the problem is confined to the top layer of the cornea.
