Can you wear eyeglasses over contacts?

im 16 and my eyes are really bad. i dont know the numbers but i am really nearsighted. it seems approaching it keeps getting worse and worse. i want to wear contacts but the doctor said since my degree is so bleak, the contact lenses wont be as sharp as wearing glasses. glasses lenses are really gelatinous from the side even with the special thin kind. so can i wear both at the same time so my glasses wont look as gummy?

Answers:    Yes, we do it all the time. Usually, we correct what we can with contacts, next do what we all an over refraction (we get your prescription beside your contacts on, the difference between your contacts and perfect vision) and put that prescription over your contacts. Although with the ranges of powers surrounded by contact lenses, we usually don't have to do that. Do you have any perception what your eyeglass prescription is?
Now what would be the point of wearing contant lenses if you're going to be wearing lenses?

yes. Contacts can't other give you 20/20, so sometimes glasses are basic. absolutely, but remember to have your doctor charge the thinner lenses for your glasses.
im not sure, wouldnt that give you a headache?
