Contacts or eyeglasses?

I was considering asking my mom about getting contacts instead of my goggles, but I am unsure if they are worth the change.

I really just want to know if they are expensive and how to carry them, would I need to go to the eyedoctors again or is their another remedy? I would also love to have colored ones, but I just don't know if my familial has enough money to run throwing around for contacts I may not even wear. Are they uncomfortable to put in and pocket out? And what would happen if I got them raining or forgot to take them out? Thanks for your help

Answers:    I use both and I distinctly think contacts cost more. First of all you own to pay more for the eye exam (even though the fitting for glasses is included). You own to think about the cost of the contacts which can run you $13-$100/box. Typically for disposable contacts (monthly or bi-weekly) you are prescribed up to 8 boxes depending on how recurrently you are supposed to change the contacts. Then there is the contact solution. I individually go through more than 6 bottles of solution a year ( and this include the big double pack from Sam's Club). Then you have to purchase the contact cases, which are the cheapest purchase for a contact wearer. I overall expect glasses are a better bargain, especially if you are on a tight budget. I don't deem you are ready to deal next to contacts because 1) the cost of having them 2) you said you go to sleep near your glasses (definitely not good to do next to your contacts if they are not prescribed for sleeping in. Doing so could cause irritation and infections contained by your eyes.
Colored contacts are more dry than clear ones. Most people want various colors to choose from and will progress with Fresh look . Those contacts are not comfortable to me and feel dry. As for putting and taking the contacts out, believe it or not, not everyone is comfortable touching their own eyes. Personally I grain you need to wait longer for contacts when you are more mature/responsible and especially when you finances are more fit to try them.
nope stay beside glasses i only would use contacts for consistent activities which you cant do with eyeglasses like concerts
karate/judo lessons swimming ,tennis ,soccer volleyball maintain the glasses
Well i just started trying contacts withen the later month and a half, and it does take time getting use to them. But when i go to get contacts it is a different eye exam they do for contacts so yes you will have to turn see the doctor to get contacts. BTW it costed me $50 for the eye exam because my insurance didnt cover it. Anyways if your just trying to capture them for the hell of it then its not worth it and if you have bleak eye's it can range around $300 a year and more depending how bad your eyes are and getting them colored can even cost more and some brand dont even brand name color ones. So if you hate wearing glasses and hold the money then it can be worth it but remember one thing it can nick from 1 month to 3 or so months to find the right kind of contacts for your eyes but one good article is the eye doctor gets you trail pairs to try and dont cost you until you get the sort you like on your eyes and then charge them. Hmm for the part of getting them wet its not flawless to get in a pool or shower next to them in unless you have your eyes closed when dampen is hitting you in the face because they can be pushed out your eyes and consequently there gone and have to take new ones. As for the not taking them out that not good and you shouldnt go off them in because contacts after being surrounded by awhile dry your eyes out and it takes away the oxygen flow to the middle part of your eye. Anyways i hope this help you understand thing's more. It seems as though you've made your mind up and are staying next to glasses, and that's fine.Maybe you're just unawares for them or just like your eyeglasses too much to part with them at this point.I estimate that's fine, there's no sense into rushing into something you're not sure about in the first place.I hold never worn contacts myself, but I have several friends that do and they do enjoy them, and I influence to each their own,as long as you correct your vision properly,I enjoy no problem. If you do decide to get them someday, hopefully you do win them for the right reasons and if you are absolutely comfortable beside getting them.Good luck!
Generally speaking contact lenses are more expensive than glasses. You can order/buy them at the same store you buy your specs at most of the time. There is a contact lens fitting that is usually done and will cost money if not covered by insurance. The one complaint I hold heard about the coloured lenses is that sometimes the hole contained by the center of them that your pupil will fit into to see through can bee too small and that can affect your vision. If you have astigmatism consequently contact lenses can be uncomfortable, however there are special lenses for those of us next to astigmatism. If you get them wet its not too big of a settlement, however it is never a good idea to forget to help yourself to them out. Depending on which type of lenses you were to purchase (Daily, bi-weekly, monthly etc.) the lens can dry out on your eye, some of the daily lenses will even break down on your eye, and to be precise never a good situation, that being said most of the time you can purely put some eye drops in your eyes and the lens will come out without a problem.
