Extreme Differences contained by Eyesight - Glasses?

My right eye is near on perfect, that the lense for it on my specs is made of plastic. But my left eye is horrible, the lense is really thick. So, when I look through my specs, everything with my left eye looks visibly smaller than they do on my right eye. Even though I've adjusted (can focus with both eyes lacking headache, etc.) , could there be any problems with these discrepancies contained by how I see things in my eyes?

Anything over a two-dioptre difference and you can expect some people to have problems, but I've specified people to wear four and five dioptre differences and have binocular perception without strain, completely against the text-book.

With big differences contact lenses do offer a better accidental of comfortable visual fusion, and a more balanced cosmetic appearance than goggles. But if there's no problem, there's no need to go nearby.


I'm kind of confused by what your saying. So, you said that you own little or no correction in your right eye and either a -4.00 or -2.25 refraction contained by your left eye? What do you mean when you articulate "by one system"? First of all, a -4.00 lens is totally different from a -2.25 lens. But basically yes, have a difference in lens thickness (from 1 eye to the other) can effect your trance, but it would be kind of important to know if your a -4.00 or a -2.25. What be your prescription prior to this? Was it similar? Of course, images will look different through your higher powered lens compared to a lens that have no Rx in it due to the curvature. And they will look smaller because of the type of refraction you have. Similar to a "+" powered lens that magnify images (convex lenses) making the image appear larger than regular. Your type of refraction "-" will make images appear smaller due to your lenses man the opposite curvature (concave lenses). What matters is how you see next to BOTH eyes together. If your not comfortable with your glasses (due to Rx or cosmetic reasons) afterwards I would suggest going back to your doctor's office and see if they can look at the specs and possibly fix the problem (if any) for you. It's kind of hard to diagnose something in need seeing it, like a mechanic trying to figure out a sports car problem over the phone. We have to see the eyeglasses in decree to find the problem, if there is any. That's my best suggestion for you.
