Whats the best age to take contacts?

Usually, eye doctors will recommend 14 to 16 years of age as the age of responsibility for a patient take care of their own contacts, verbs them properly daily, etc. Everyone is different though so 12 may even be okay for some people. Source(s): Optician for six years.
I got mine when I be 12 and didn't have a problem. It took some getting used to but after a month or so it was second nature.
