I be told I entail to travel to Canada for Lasik, I enjoy a large astigmatism, is this out of danger?
Answers: I would check out this site www.asklasikdocs.com. There are excellent opthamologists on this site who specialize in laser surgery. You can post a interrogate and they will be sure to get back to you!! I have custom intralase (Blade free lasik)done six months ago and I am pleased with the results. You really have to do your research in the region of this elective surgery and ensure you find a well respected surgeon in the pasture who has performed thousands of operation. Good Luck :) P.S My surgery was done in Canada.
It really doesn't concern where you get your surgery done, it matter most who does your surgery. I had Lasik done eight years ago from a doctor in upstate NY (not fundamentally far from where you are from it sounds). I worked for him, but I would have gone to him anyway even if I didn't work for him. Research your surgeon: find out how long they enjoy been in practice, how various surgeries they have done, the "outcomes" of their patients, if they are accessable after hours, etc. My surgeon gave me his cell phone number to phone him at any time if needed (and this was not just because I worked here, he gives his phone number to every single one of his patients and even calls them the dark of surgery to make sure they are doing alright). Anyway, these issues are important. Good luck contained by making your decision! Yes you have`a lot to worry in the region of. My brother got LASIK surgery done in Canada (and he have terrible vision). After the surgery, he had to capture follow up visits. They kept sending him to a doctor in the US. The doctor didnt charge him anything for the follow up visit.
My brother went to the doctor one day and his organization was closed.
I would never have the surgery done anywhere else.
Definitely jump to an experienced clinic - there will be less risks involved beside a surgeon who is experienced in the field of eye surgery. Over here surrounded by the UK there is an excellent laser eye surgery clinic in London. On their site near is some info on safety in the Q&As bit which you might want to read, http://www.focusclinics.com/faq.php#faql... or read about the treatment itself, http://www.focusclinics.com/treatments.p...
