I cleaned my glasses' lenses beside hot dampen and presently one of them is blurry?

I boiled water and soaked my specs in the hot marine for a few seconds and after wiped the lenses near a tissue, but now one of the lenses is blurry and it's particularly annoying. What could have cause that? It makes me a bit dizzy 'cause it's singular one of the lenses which is like that while the other is without a flaw fine. Is there anything I can do or is it a unchanging damage on the lens? Thanks!

Answers:    The hot hose down made the lens expand too quickly and cracked the anti gash coating.

I have ruined more than a few lenses over the years by forgetting them contained by the UV solution which is heated to 190 degrees. It is supposed to be for 2 minutes, but sometimes I seize called away and forget them for 4 or 5 minutes, after one or both are ruined.

Sometimes they go a milky white color, sometimes it of late makes a warp within the lens...but either instrument, nothing can be done to put aside them.

If they are less than a year antiquated, take them final and say...hey, look at my lens ( don't mention the hot hose trick )...lol
maybe try cleaning it near special cleaner foor your glasses? I'v have two pairs of glasses (both from lenscrafters) that on exceedingly hot days when I had sweat on the lenses (as happen in hot weather.)..when I wipe them they went for always blurry. The antireflection coating was at quirk...I have never be back and presently make sure I buy better brand nickname lenses.
If the lenses are plastic, I wonder if the water be hot enough to warp one of the lenses, or perchance mess up a coating on the surface. it's strange that only one lens be affected. Unless you can see some motion picture or crud on the surface that will clean bad, it's probably trashed. I really think that be the wrong thing to do, run ask the optomotrist.
