Does anyone make a clear polarized eyeglass lens?
i want to know if anyone makes polarized glasses without any tint.Answers: OK. Let's talk about the physics of light. Light coming from a point source travels through space in randomly positioned wave fronts with wavelengths of light oscillating in all directions (up and down, back and forth, and all possible oblique angles). Polarized lenses are designed to block only light that is oscillating horizontally or very nearly horizontally. When light bounces off of horizontal surfaces (such as water) much more of the wavelengths begin to travel in a horizontal back and forth manner. Therefore, polarized lenses dramatically decrease glare off of flat surfaces such as water by filtering out these horizontally oscillating waves of light. Any time you block a percentage of light traveling through a lens (it really doesn't matter what direction they are oscillating in) you will see less light through the lens. Therefore, the lens will appear to have a tint. (That's what tints are. They are treatments of a lens to cause absorption or blocking of light). So, since a polarized lens blocks light (mostly horizontal) it unavoidably will result in the lens having a tint. Hope this helped.
The Iodine crystals in the polarized film are aligned in parallel rows like a venetian blind to block light one direction. This is why you cannot have a clear polarizer. If the crystals were clear, they could not do their job blocking light in a specific direction.
Are there any Astigmatism lenses available in usa for very high cylinders like -2.75 and -3.00.?
I have these high cylinders with spherical numbers also as -3.00 and -4.25.i have tried the lenses that my contact lense pratisionre gave but they are not as acurate as my glasses are.i have axis as 028 and 002.i have tried a coup[le of them but nothing is as clearas the glasses.I dont want to wear the glasses. If anyone has a better option please write. ThanksAnswers: I believe there is a brand from Coopervision called Coopervision Toric XR (extended range) Also, Sunsoft makes lenses for moderate to high astigmatism. Sunsoft lenses tend to be a little pricey, but there aren't many that make the extended range torics.
Good luck.
Yes there are- and I can only hope you have a Doctor that is willing to try some of these on you- the only major drawback is that they all have to be special ordered.
How long after I start the drops for pink eye will my eye stop being pink?
I started the drops Saturday night... but my eye is still pink. Not pussing and only draining clear in small amounts, but it's still pretty pink. Is that normal? I thought the first thing that happened was the pink cleared up.Thanks!
Answers: This would be dependent on how strong the infection is...typically within two days the effect of the antibiotic should start showing...as an added note...if you use Makeup...and used it when you were infected...throw it all out!! Otherwise you will continue to reinfect your eyes!! Very Important side note!! I was an Optician for twenty years...saw this alot!!
Yes. Use the medicine till it is gone!
