Changing from contacts to glasses?
most people haven't even seen me with glasses, since I've always worn contacts. Now they are bugging me and I've been told I should give my eyes a rest, but I need some tips. I don't want to go to school with glasses, most people don't even know I wear them and everyone will be looking at me.what should I do? how should i overcome the first day with my new glasses?
Answers: wear a long weird red hat that will distract every one .
bloody hell, its not like wearing glasses is something NEW AND DIFFERENT, thousands..no millions of ppl wear glasses, and just becos ur known for not wearing them it doesn't mean u will be alienated.. i had to get glasses a few months ago and no1 reali cares, either they say; 'omg u look nice with glasses' or they say: ' you look weird in glasses' it dont relli matter wat they say, ur not wearing them to look hot or anything, its the fact that you have to... its for u ... not for them, and if they're ugly glasses, get a nice pair.

get use to glasses because contacts are not neccessarily improving your eyesight. If anything they are damaging it. Just know danger with contacts
Just say you decided to change your look for awhile. And pick frames that are not outstanding - ones that won't be very noticable: maybe clear or mostly clear frames and temples - so attention isn't drawn to them. If you don't obsess about it, for the most part others won't notice or comment on it. And, it's not uncommon when you get into grades where you have no choice in where you sit in the room that you'll see classmates suddenly wearing glasses because they can't see from the back of the room. Just pick something unobtrusive and fashionable and say you're experimenting with changing your image.
Just be yourself ....chill ...! And if they look at you long enough maybe they will see why the Creator made you in the first place. Have a great day!
Just wear them! You might be surprised at the reaction. You seem to think it's all going to be negative. Look around. How many people wear glasses? If your schoolmates have nothing better to do than look and comment on you wearing glasses, they must have very boring lives!
Stop worrying what people think of you OMG. Rotate between glasses and contacts. They will get used to it.don't worry they will be alright you wont put them through trauma by doing this.
Hi there Perhaps you might like to start with wearing a light coloured pair of sunglasses that others may see your eyes, and adjust to those prior to removing your contact lenses.
If you wear the light coloured glasses they all have a chance to get used to you wearing glasses for vision. See how that works first. Might be an idea to prewarn others that you will be soon wearing your vision glasses for a while
You may actually get a really incredible reaction. Another note is that there are some girls out there are are wild about a guy that wears glasses. works both ways some guys are wild about a girl that wears glasses too.

Another thought is that if you wish to give your eyes a rest you might consider wearing glasses at night instead of at school this way you will give your eyes a rest at the same time.
If they are bugging you, then you may suggest that you prefer to wear contacts. You have to go with how you feel about it not how they wish..
I'm the same.. hate people seeing me in glasses.I don't know what kind of lenses you've got but perhaps you could try a different sort. As for having to wear glasses, could you try the prescripion sunglasses?
Otherwise you'll just have to go for it and have the first laugh making a joke of it.

You can't. There's nothing wrong but you could try using some over the counter eye drops to lubricate your eyes but there is no cure.
When I rub my eyes I hear a squeaking noise is this dry eyes?
Answers: If you will pull your lower lid down you will see there is a space between the lid and the eyeball itself. This space exists all the way around the eye. When you rub your eye you can entrap air in this space and when the air is pushed out during the rubbing you can hear a squeaking kind of sound. As long as this is this is not associated with a recent severe blow to the eye it is totally normal. Don't worry about it.
