Headaches-Focusing?

i went to the eye doctor like5-6yrs ago and he said i have problems focusing on things. all he said is to put a pencil between my eyes and move it back and forth. well i rarely did it. i notice i have headaches like by my sinuses above my nose(bet. the eyebrows) and i find it hard to look up like it feels like ablock is just sitting there and all i want to do is close my eyes. do you think i need glasses for that?
Answers: Yes, I would go back to your doctor. A lot of things can change in 5-6 yrs. Since you are having a hard time focusing - it is probably causing your headaches. You may need glasses to help you focus so your eyes wont get tired easily. Hope this helps!!
glasses should help

Eye donation?

I use spects, can I donate my eyes? How?
Answers: You can donate your cornea (clear part of your eye) which is used in corneal transplants. These provide sight to people who may otherwise not be able to see due to the poor condition of their cornea. In some cases it may even save their entire eye because their cornea is so close to breaking.

The fact you wore spectacles shouldn't affect your eligibility to donate your corneas. Only if you've got some sort of disease that effects your corneas would you be ruled out.

Depends where you are as to the exact way to go about making yourself a donor. If you were to pass away they will often approach family members about these things. Try to register as an organ donor (often these forms will allow you to tick which organs you wish to donate.including corneas).

After registering make sure your family is aware of your choice as ultimately they can still stop organ donations from happening.
Congratulations . I am very happy to know your desire.Yes , you can donate your eye or in scientific terms - your cornea. For that you have either register yourself to nearest hospital or inform your family members about your desire.
After your death the cornea has to removed within two hours or else they will be of no use.
And if you do not have any disease there should be no problem in donation of your eyes even if you are wearing spectacles.
In fact I through this forum I would like to thank that unknown donor who helped to restore my Dad's partial vision by donating his cornea.
In fact today's youngsters should definitely come forward and make a pledge of eye donation after their death by this we would be spreading Light and brightness in so many people who are unable to see God's wonderful world

Can I get my prescription put into my existing sunglasses?

I currently have a pair of prescription sunglasses. Can i get my prescription added into them without buying a new pair of sunglasses?
Answers: As long as your frames are in decent condition there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to just update them with new lenses, especially since they already have your Rx in them.

If the frames are visibly in questionable condition, they may advise against it. But if the frames are in good condition, they most certainly can do it. It may require that you be without them for a little while, depending on whether they have a lab on the premises.

Good luck!
It really depends on the condition of the frame, if it's a wire frame they check the barrels and solder points to see that there are no weak spots. if it's plastic, they check to see that the frame is still flexible, after several years plastic frames can become brittle which could lead them to break when they're putting the new lens in.
But... with most national chains having great sales right now, you may be ahead $wise to get a new frame and lenses, rather than just buying new lenses.
