Answers: New glasses usually requires a small adjustment period.
First, the lenses do distort the image you see. Off center, straight lines may appear curved. The brain will adjust, both by accepting the curvature and by causing you to look through the optical center by moving your head instead of only your eyes.
Second, you're eyes are likely not exactly equal. So, with glasses you can have equal vision out of both eyes. Upon removal, you eyes are fighting a little bit.
Eventually, you'll probably feel like your eyes are worse without glasses than they were before, but that's just due to knowing your new-found clear vision.
There are a couple of other possible effects, but without knowing your prescription, it's hard to say.
New glasses, or a big change in glasses Rx, can take some getting used to but your response seems quite marked.
Give it no more than a week for the eyes to settle and become comfortable. If there are still problems at that point the set of the frame or the Rx itself is likely to need adjustment. This should have been explained by whoever supplied the glasses, especially for a first ever pair.
In many ways it's like going to drive a new car: the controls and pedals are a little differently set, even if they are better, and it has to feel somewhat odd for a while.
With a new glasses Rx the eyes are inevitably making slighly different alignment coordination and accommodation adjustments, even if the vision is clearer. That should settle quickly but if it doesn't, don't accept that you have to wear them for weeks and weeks to acclimatise. A week is plenty in almost all cases where there is nothing wrong.
I've been wearing glasses since i was a kid. when an new prescription was obtained it took an while to get used to it. your obviously not used to the glasses. give it a little time with everyday wear and you"ll be seeing good in no time.
PS there is nothing wrong with you, :)
It takes 2 weeks for a person to adjust to glasses.
At first, you'll start feeling dizziness, headaches.n nuaseus.
Can you briefly tell something about crosseye?
doctors speak name 'lazy eye'Answers: Lazy eye is what we call Strabismus and is a condition in which the eyes are not properly aligned with each other. It typically involves a lack of coordination between the extraocular muscles that prevents bringing the gaze of each eye to the same point in space and preventing proper binocular vision, which may adversely affect depth perception. Strabismus can be either a disorder of the brain coordinating the eyes or a disorder of one or more muscles, as in any process that causes a dysfunction of the usual direction and power of the muscle or muscles.
as Lori said, we call this "strabismus". many treatments...sometimes glasses, sometimes prisms, sometimes surgery, sometimes a combination, depending on the severity and cause of the deviation.
must be followed by a specialist
