New to contacts/glasses: Do I entail to wear them adjectives day/all the time?

I have be prescribed contact lenses and glasses for myopia and astygmatism. No one have really explained anything to me about adjectives this beyond how to clean and put in/take out my contacts. So, am I supposed to wear them (or my glasses) adjectives the time, or can I just wear them when my delirium starts blurring or I get a headache? If it help I will include my vision prescriptions to confer an idea of where on earth I'm at vision astute, not sure if that matters or not.

My prescriptions:
Right: (-.50)
Left: (-.25-.25 090)

Answers:    Footprintz is right. Some slick salesmanship on that one. I would almost surface bad selling you goggles with that little correction. You really merely need them for dark driving and TV. And since you mentioned astigmatism, I certainly hope they didn't deal in you a toric lens for the left eye! If you newly got them, see if at hand is a trial time with the contacts where on earth you can return them, within 30 days or something. You really don't want them.
When I was prescribed contacts, they told me to instigate by wearing them for an hour a day, afterwards two hours, then three, etc. It give your eyes time to adjust to them. That was years ago, so I don't know if it applies anymore but I don't mull over it would hurt to do that.

I don't know how to interpret the prescription...I think you should probably be wearing them adjectives the time--don't wait until you own a headache; avoid one completely.
Yes, you must wear your contacts ALL THE TIME! even when you are sleeping!

Are you for real?
This is completely common and even though you enjoy a very pale prescription you should wear them as directed by your doctor.
Why would you want to wait until you procure a headache to wear them when you could completely prevent one?!

Here's some info for you so you know exactly what your condition is, I suggest reading the whole topic at the website, links provided.

Myopia (from Greek: μυωπα myopia "near-sightedness"[1]), also call near- or short-sightedness, is a refractive defect of the eye surrounded by which collimated light produces representation focus in front of the retina when board is relaxed.

Those with myopia see within reach objects clearly but distant objects appear blurred. With myopia, the eyeball is too long, or the cornea is too steep, so images are focused within the vitreous inside the eye rather than on the retina at the put a bet on of the eye. The opposite malformation of myopia is hyperopia or "farsightedness" or "long-sightedness" — this is where the cornea is too flat or the eye is too short.

astigmatism is when an optical system have different foci for rays that propagate in two erect planes. If an optical system with astigmatism is used to form an figurine of a cross, the vertical and horizontal lines will be in sharp focus at two different distances.
I would phone up your doctor and ask him or her how they want you to wear your contacts and/or glasses. Your prescription is thoroughly low so I would think only wear them as needed (in class, driving, at night, movies/tv) and contacts do appear pretty unnecessary with a prescription similar to yours.

BUT...without knowing anything else something like your eyes, it's hard for any of us to communicate you how you should wear you prescription lenses. Only the doctor that saw you will know why and when you should wear your glasses. A seemingly extremely mild prescription may be helping you correct an optical problem most people don't know around. So check with your doctor.
yeah you should wear it adjectives day but appropriate out your contacts when you take a shower and budge to bed. The idea at the rear glasses/contacts is you wear them all the time, except when sleeping.
You should receive glasses, since they are easier to put on and give somebody a lift off. Your eyes aren't that impossible (-.5 and -.25) so you can probably just wear them when your sight blurs. Another reason to return with glasses, you won't want to nick them out and put them back within every time your eyes change. i enjoy both contacts and glasses, but i never wear my goggles. you should wear what is more comfortable for you, and contacts depend. if you have ordinary contacts, do not sleep in them; they dry your eyes out close to crazy! but they are good to wear during the daylight. my family usually wear contacts during the day and eyeglasses at night.
You've get to be kidding.

Who on dirt would prescribe contacts with an Rx similar to that ?

You barely even involve glasses. Just for occaissional use for TV or within class sometimes if you are a student.

Contacts are a complete waste of time and money for you.
I own almost the same entry as you... I wear my glasses mostly adjectives time otherwise i develop headaches. The solitary time i really dont wear them is when i am driving during the day and it is bright out because for some source i can see then but if its showery or dark i cant see anything. I would utter wear them.
