What are the risks of laser eye surgery?

Answers:    While laser eye surgery is considered a pretty safe surgery, it's still surgery and in that are risks and complications. Things range from mild: increased dryness, the presence of halo or glare around lights/headlights, some initial discomfort,

to moderate: corneal infiltrates (white specs within cornea), the wrong correction (too weak and you're still near-sighted or too much and you're very soon far-sighted) This can be fixed with some call an "enhancement" or basically, have LASIK/PRK done again,

to severe: ocular infection that could result surrounded by blindness or loss of the eye, corneal ectasia that essentially warps the cornea so that no business what (glasses, contacts, surgery) will not correct you vision to an reasonable level.

Again, the latter complications are relatively rare, but it can't hurt to be informed. Ask your surgeon what he considers a successful procedure (20/40 OK or 20/15 his/her standard?), how long hold they been performing the procedure (total and near their current set-up).

Make sure you feel comfortable next to the doctor, staff, and facility.
well when i have mine...i have some eye spots where on earth they move back and forth as my eyes move, its not impossible, i got used to it and you only ignore it, a doc. told me that when i get hold of older, within might be in the side of my eyes where on earth it looks like a curtain might come down or a shadow, anything that means, but hope i help. any lazer treatment is a simple non intervention surgery, the dameage caused is everlasting, the indication of lazer treatment is coagulation of tissue that absorbe the lazer energy and get converted into heat that coagulates the the retinal tissue.--the result is the destabilized tissue being nonfuctional retina.the lazer treatment subjected blood vessel and tissue do not grow again the blocked blood vessels do not branch again but the web result is improvement of perception
