What company make the best optical lens?

One of the TV networks had a program on it a while backbone. Included in the study be Wal-Mart Super-Center. The reason I ask, I only just had my perscription renewed from a different doc (2 yrs. ago I go to Wal-Mart to get my glasses) and as of today, they've changed my lens 5 times trying to capture it right. I'm at my wits' end beside it all. Thanks!

Answers:    I don't come up with has so much to do next to the actual company, as it does the competance of the staff working for them. Even where I work (its a legally large independantly owned fasten. its not a national chain) we have great doctors and some not-so-great doctors. We also hold a great opticians, and some not-so-great employees (I don't want to even name the not-so-good-ones "opticians" because they aren't)

In one of our offices, we enjoy a licensed Optician(PA does not require licensed opticians, but he obtained his contained by New jersey, which is a licensed state) who's been doing this for more or less 25 years and he's the best of the best. I, personally, enjoy been doing this for 11 years and I am not licensed, but I do own my ABO Certification. The is a girl that I work with that have been in attendance a year and she used to wait table in a shaft. She's not a very flawless optician or employee.

My point is this:

Anywhere can be a great place to take glasses, as long as their staff is competant. Likewise, any place can be a discouraging place to get eyeglasses for the same common sense. My advice to you is agree to friends and family who wear eyeglasses and see where they run. I'm sure you must know someone who wears them and can refer you. Word of mouth is a great item if you get it from someone you trust. Or if you enjoy someone recommend a good eye doctor, you can other take the prescription to another place to enjoy it filled.

Zeiss is nice at twice the price. If you mean entrepreneur of lenses that would be Essilor. They aer the largest manufacturer surrounded by the world. They produce many different styles as ably as the best anti-reflective coatings. Your best bet would be to go to a private pratice because most doctors and opticans near care more more or less quatity tham quanity.
